As Herbert notes, Ur plans to engage Montgomery County Community College with an educational program both scientific and historical.

"Ur Brewery will be teaming up with Montgomery County Community College to help college students learn the brewing process and how beer was made in colonial times," Herbert wrote. "By supporting this initiative we are both supporting continuing education and a new local business."

Ur Brewery, a joint venture between Lou Farrell and Chuck Schroeder, is bringing a twist to the flourishing local microbrewery scene. They plan on brewing Philadelphia beers originally produced between 1790 and 1965, mixing cultural and historical appreciation.
