New Stop Signs, Traffic Signal Reported For Sumneytown Pike Intersection

UPPER GWYNEDD, PA -- Stop signs and possible traffic lights are being considered for safety purposes at the intersection of Sumneytown Pike and Swedesford Road, according to a report.

Upper and Lower Gywnedd township officials want a four way stop sign in the short term, and are considering commissioning a traffic signal in the long term, The Reporter said.

Several accidents have been reported at or near that intersection in recent years, the report states.

Contracts were presented at a recent meeting. Upper Gwynedd’s commissioners will meet again at  7:30 p.m. on Feb. 22 at the township administration building. The meeting is open to the public.
