North Penn Baseball Advances To State Championship Final

North Penn’s undefeated playoff run continued on Wednesday as they defeated Shaler, 3-1.

Pittsburgh area Shaler High School’s Jake Potock only allowed one hit through the first six innings.

But after hitting consecutive batters in the seventh, the tying run scored on a sacrifice fly by Jake Schuster. And then Mike Christy hit a home run in the eighth that sealed the win.

North Penn will go on to face Wyoming Valley West in the state championships on Friday.

The game will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Penn State University.
