North Penn Baseball, Softball Get A $20 Gift For Every Double
Every time a North Penn baseball or softball player smacks a double, the teams will get a $20 donation.

LANSDALE, PA — Sluggers on North Penn's baseball and softball teams have another reason to look for the gap this spring.
Every time a player smacks a double, their team will get a $20 donation.
That's thanks to a new charitable initiative organized by SafeLife, owners of several senior living communities in Montgomery and Chester counties.

The North Penn donations will come courtesy of Kyffin Grove, a community located in North Wales.
“SageLife is all about building sophisticated, vibrant, lifestyle-focused communities for our residents,” Kelly Andress, founder and president of SageLife, said in a statement. “Part of that includes engaging our residents with the larger communities around us. We’re happy to support high school athletics and the valuable life lessons that are learned through participation in sports."

Termed the "Sage Swing for Doubles," organizers hope the initiative helps support teams when athletic departments are stretched thin.
A similar program is underway at nearby Hatboro-Horsham, as well.
