North Penn Fund Seeks $50K In Scholarship Donations
The fund has set a lofty goal in their mission to empower students to make it to college.

LANSDALE, PA -- Contributions are the life blood of the North Penn Area Scholarship Fund Association.
“Our goal for 2016 is to award $50,000 to high school seniors who live within the boundaries of the North Penn School District, regardless of which high school they attend,” John Dasch, awards chairman, said.
Through continued generous contributions from members of the North Penn community, each year more students are finding their financial burden a little lighter. Contributions to the fund can be made in any amount. “The fund relies heavily on donations from businesses and patrons,” Eileen Rennard, NPASFA co-chairwoman, said. Each May, the NPASFA hosts a reception were the scholars are informed of their awards. In 2015, twenty-one scholarships were awarded with amounts ranging from $1000 to $3000.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the NPASFA’s philanthropy in the North Penn community. In their long history, the association has received donations from many area businesses, organizations and individual donors. Each year, a number of contributors provide a level of funding to establish One-Time Named Awards which are awarded in their name. In 2015, these awards included: Harriet Carter Gifts. Inc.; Diane Walton Honorary Award; Metz Engineers; and William Thacker Memorial Award.
Perpetual Named Awards are created with a one-time contribution to the fund establishing an annual named award of $1000 or more with the interest earned from the contribution.
