The North Penn senior is in Orlando, part of a national team that represents "collaboration and creativity in its highest musical form."

LANSDALE, PA -- A North Penn student is in Florida this week to perform at a national conference.

Senior Lindsey Spritzler was selected as part of the 2018 All-National Honor Mixed Choir, and is performing at the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) National In-Service Conference.

The national team represents "collaboration and creativity in its highest musical form," according to the district.

It's been a long and challenging road for Spritzler to get to this point.

"In order to qualify, she had to make Pennsylvania All-State Chorus last year, and place at the top of her section," North Penn vocal music director Matt Klenk explains. "And even that's not always a guarantee to go to Nationals. "

Spritzler will sing on Tuesday at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The mixed choir is one of five different ensembles (jazz, guitar, symphony orchestra, and concert band) that comprise the 240 vocalists on the All-National team.

NAfME is one of the world's largest music and arts education organizations.

Congratulations and best of luck, Lindsey!
