
North Penn High School student Kara Raskin was recently recognized by the school board for her accomplishments at a competition over the summer.
Raskin won the Gold Medal in the Mechatronics Competition at the 2015 National Skills USA Leadership and Skills Conference held in Louisville in June.
Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of engineering that encompasses many subfields, including control engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, systems engineering, and telecommunications engineering, among others.
