Regional 'Outstanding Teacher' Award Given To North Penn Educator
"I cannot see a more deserving teacher in the region." Another one of North Penn's finest is getting some well-deserved recognition.

LANSDALE, PA — Another one of North Penn's finest has been recognized with a regional award for excellence.
Curt Reichwein has received the 2020 Outstanding Engineering Teacher award from the Philadelphia Engineering Foundation, the school district announced this week.
Reichwein, who has spent 22 years teaching at North Penn, helped build the district's Technology and Engineering Education program from the ground up. As department chair, he's written grants that have brought the district a wide variety of specialized equipment, including 3D printers, 3D scanners, Sphero RVRs, and much more.

“He promotes a classroom environment that pushes students to ask questions and take academic risks,” John Doyle, Awards Chair of the ASCE Philadelphia Section YMF, said in a statement. “Many students, colleagues, principals and administrators can speak to his professional, considerate, and impactful presence in and out of the classroom.”
Reichwein was one of three teachers recognized at a recent event in Philadelphia, including one from science, one from math, and one from engineering.
