North Penn will face Lansdale Catholic for a Thanksgiving Day Hometown Classic this year in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the North Penn School District, according to The Reporter.
The game between the schools was a Thanksgiving tradition for many years. It ended in 2001, as both schools were making the playoffs too consistently to justify the game.

However, the game will be played between alumni of North Penn and Lansdale Catholic, and it will be flag football, not tackle, the report states.
The proceeds from the event will be split between the schools.

The current North Penn squad is in action this Friday against Pennridge at 7 p.m.
