North Penn Vocab Bowl Prepares For 9th Annual Event

The annual competition "showcases knowledge...while reinforcing the importance of vocabulary in everyday life." Good luck students!

LANSDALE, PA - Eleventh grade students at North Penn High School will participate in the 9th Annual Vocabulary Bowl, a scholarly competition that is exclusively designed to challenge and delight students, the school district announced Monday.

The Vocab Bowl provides an opportunity for academic competition that showcases knowledge while reinforcing the importance of vocabulary in everyday life. Students compete both in teams and individually, testing and showcasing their knowledge of vocabulary and reading/writing skills.

The opportunity is being funded by the NPSD Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to support the students and staff.

The mission of the North Penn Educational Foundation is to motivate and inspire students in the North Penn School District through innovative projects and learning experiences.

WHEN/WHERE? The competition will be held from 8:20 a.m.to 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in the auditorium at North Penn High School, located at 1340 Valley Forge Road in Lansdale.
