North Penn Will Hold Virtual Classes On Monday
Other districts around Montgomery County chose to give full, traditional snow days.
TOWAMENCIN TOWNSHIP, PA — The North Penn Area School District will hold a flexible instruction day on Monday, Jan. 26 after a powerful snowstorm swept through the region on Sunday.
It's a different route than many other nearby districts which chose to give students a traditional snow day.
Accumulation estimates ranged from 8 to 12 inches late Sunday afternoon, shutting down roads and impacting other critical infrastructure.

"All NPSD staff will work virtually unless otherwise directed by your supervisor," the district shared. "All school buildings and offices will be closed."
Nearby, districts like Souderton, Hatboro-Horsham, Abington, Wissahickon, Upper Merion, Colonial, Lower Moreland, Norristown, Perkiomen Valley, Spring-Ford, Pottsgrove, and Upper Moreland will have traditional snow days with no virtual instruction.

No determination has been made yet for Tuesday classes. The district said they will continue to monitor conditions and will share an update when a decision is reached.
