North Penn Wins Baseball State Championship

North Penn’s baseball team won their third state championship on Friday night amidst thunderstorms and a persistent Wyoming Valley West squad that wouldn’t give up.

Fighting through bad weather, a delay that lasted over an hour, and two comeback attempts by their opponent, North Penn emerged victorious.

Led by a strong pitching performance from James Witner, they won by a final score of 4-3.

The win was a special one for North Penn seniors, who walked at graduation the night before on Thursday.

It was their second championship in the last three years.
