North Penn's 'Wing Bowl IV' Gets Students In Super Bowl Spirit

Ahead of the Eagles Super Bowl Sunday, nearly 100 students will participate in a relay-style Wing Bowl at North Penn.

LANSDALE, PA — Ahead of the Eagles Super Bowl Sunday, nearly 100 students will participate in a relay-style Wing Bowl at North Penn.

It's the fourth annual incarnation of the celebrated event.

The competition involves teams of five, wherein the first four team members eat five wings as fast as they can, and the "anchors" eat ten wings as fast as they can.

Based on time, teams will advance to a semi-final and final round. Winners will receive gift cards to Giuseppe’s and the "Chicken Wing Trophy."

The Friday, Feb. 2 event will double as a pep rally for the North Penn Knights boys and girls basketball teams and the Eagles.

Friday is also Eagles Spirit Day at North Penn, where the school will take donations for the Chris Long Foundation.

Frank's Pizza in Lansdale is providing the wings for the event.
