'Montco Strong' Shirts, Made By North Wales Business, Raise $10K
The funds provide help to veterans, the homeless, and residents in need of food and other basic supplies during the crisis.
NORTH WALES, PA — Sales of the "Montco Strong" t-shirts made by a local company for hte Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board have already netted more than $10,000 for coronavirus relief efforts, organizers said recently.
The shirt was designed by the Board as part of a partnership with North Wales' DJB Specialties that creates custom apparel and promotional gear.
The money goes to the county's COVID-19 Response Fund, which supports community safety net organizations that provide help for low-income and food-insecure residents as well as senior citizens, veterans, the homeless, and others.

Locals have purchased more than 500 shirts.
“It’s because of their generosity that we’re able to support the county’s fund to help those in need," Valley Forge Tourism Board president and CEO Mike Bowman said in a statement. "We knew we could count on everyone coming together because Montco this county has heart, and resilience. That’s going to get us through this."
