A North Wales man has made the final table for the World Series of Poker’s main event, and he stands at the chip leader heading into the November showdown.

Joseph McKeehen, 24, has a chip count of 63,100,000, which is nearly triple of what any of his other competitors at the final table have.

McKeehen is at the head of the “November Nine” finalists that qualified from thousands of competitors this summer for the final table.

McKeehen is guaranteed at least $1 million after his performance at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas earlier this month.

He will face five other Americans, including two New Jersey men, an Italian, a Belgian, and an Israeli.

The nine men were whittled down from a field of 6,420 total entries.

They are competing for a prize pool of over $60 million, some of which has already been disbursed.

McKeehen has already earned $1,194,279 in his career on the poker circuit, per his profile.
