North Wales Man, Naval Officer Who Earned Purple Heart And Bronze Star, Dies at 77
Billy Charles Brooks of North Wales earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star while serving his country.

Billy Charles Brooks, 77 (April 11, 1939 - August 15, 2016), of North Wales, PA, husband of Dianne M. (nee Wolfersberger) Brooks, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 15, 2016.
Bill was a United States Naval Officer who proudly and honorably served his country from 1960-1978, and who was the recipient of a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

He is also survived by five children, nine grandchildren, one sister, and two brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday afternoon, August 20, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446 where his Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM followed by Military Funeral Honors. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date.
