What business are you in? Restaurant business

How did you come up with the name?

"The Shopping center is called Village, so we played off of that."

Why start a business in this town?

"23 years ago, there weren't many family owned restaurants in the area and we thought it would be a good place to be. The building is a beautiful old stone house."

What's the most difficult challenge you've faced as a business owner?

"Staying current with the food trends and continuing to survive while being surrounded by so many chains."

What's been your proudest achievement since opening?

"So many proud moments in a full 22 years, giving back to the community is a big one. But also Allowing our chefs to be creative and have fun coming up with innovative specials, and at the same time staying true to what we started with, to be an affordable family restaurant providing fresh food in a scratch kitchen."

How does your business give back to the community?

"In the past we have held a 5k run on March and that money raised helped purchase defibrillators for local people, companies and organizations. We support our local fire and police department and give back to certain organizations during the year."
