North Wales Woman, 86, Remembered As Active Gardener, Mother, Grandmother

Jean Elaine Dunlap, 86, of North Wales and formerly of Lafayette Hill, died Monday, November 7, 2016. She was the wife of the late Herbert C. Dunlap, Jr., who died June 23, 2012.

Born April 16, 1930 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Strawbridge) Taylor.

Jean was an avid gardener. She was also active in the Derstine Run, Hatfield, and Brookdale Senior Living, North Wales, communities.

Survivors include her children, Carole Dunlap-Siewert and her husband, Herman, and Richard H. Dunlap and his wife, Jenny, both of Lansdale; and her grandchildren, Jessica Siewert, Laura Siewert, Carter Dunlap, and Hayden Dunlap.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Union Cemetery, Perkasie.
