North Wales Woman, Founder of "12th Knight", Passes At 79
Dottie Lou Hoelscher was a widely-traveled woman who worked for Lockheed and founded "the 12th Knight." But her life's passion was her son.

LANSDALE, PA -- Dorothy L. “Dottie Lou” Hoelscher, 79, of North Wales, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 19, 2017 at the home of her son , in Lansdale, PA. Born August 6, 1937 in Gwynedd Square, PA she was the daughter of the late Harvey V. and the late Carrie L. (nee Kohlbrenner) Stanton.
Dottie Lou had been employed for many years as a legal administrative assistant for the Lockheed-Martin Corporation prior to her retirement in June of 1999. She was well known for her great sense of humor, and the many family holiday social dinners she prepared and hosted, where sometimes as many as 50 family members were in attendance. Dottie Lou was a longtime member of the Grace United Church of Christ in West Point, and a member of the “Red Hat Ladies Society”. She was also one of the founders of “The 12th Knight” of the North Penn High School Football Team, and an avid supporter of that program. Dottie Lou was also well traveled to both the continents of Europe and Asia, and her passion in life was her son, Timothy, and she cherished the times she spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Timothy Loux, of Lansdale, her grandchildren, Ty Loux and Tara Loux, and her brother, George R. Stanton (Kathleen A.) of New Boston, Texas, and their family.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday morning, March 24, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446 where her Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, PA
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dottie Lou’s name can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 555 North Lane, Suite 501, Conshohocken, PA 19428, and would be deeply appreciated by her family.
