Hsiu-Chin Lin was found sitting at the kitchen table, according to the DA. A .38 caliber revolver was in front of her.
She had been "test-firing" the gun in the week leading up to the incident, the DA's office said.
“The facts show that the defendant was test firing the gun in the past week and then fired not once but four times, fatally shooting her ex-husband once in the chest,” said DA Kevin Steele.
The North Wales Borough Police Department and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau are investigating the incident.
A preliminary hearing has been set for 1 p.m. on June 1.
More information will be provided as it becomes available.
