NOTICE: Walnut Street To Shut Down In North Wales

PennDOT is advising motorists to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Walnut Street in North Wales is scheduled to shut down, beginning on September 16, for water and sewer replacements, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

The closure will be in effect on weekdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. through mid- December.

Walnut Street between Main Street and Shearer Street will be affected.

Local traffic will be permitted, and all other traffic will be detoured over North Wales Road, Morris Road, Route 363 (Valley Forge Road) and Sumneytown Pike.

North Wales Water Authority will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
