RICHARD HEFFNER, JR.

Richard E. Heffner, Jr., 58, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes July 1, 2011. He was a long-time resident of Hatfield Township. Richard was born Dec. 24, 1952 in Kearny, NJ, the first son of Richard Elwood and Noreen (Steele) Heffner. Richard was a hard worker with an entrepreneurial spirit. He attended Kutztown University and owned his own real estate appraisal business. Formerly, he owned a furniture store, Country Concepts, on Bethlehem Pike in Hatfield for 10 years. Richard enjoyed vacationing in the New York Finger Lakes, cooking, golfing, gardening, reading, history and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. He had an engaging sense of humor, making friends wherever he went. He honored Christmas in his heart and kept it all the year. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Regina (Gimbel) Heffner; his son, Jason, of Philadelphia; and his daughter, Sarah, of Hatfield. He is also survived by a brother, Keith, and his wife, Valerie, of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Noreen Hill, and her husband, Carl, of Blue Ridge Summit; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends and family are invited to call Wednesday, July 6 from 9 to 10:45AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, 19446, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11AM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to The American Cancer Society , 1626 Locust St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 or to St. Stanislaus Elementary School, 493 E. Main St., Lansdale, 19446. Arrangements are by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, Lansdale.
