Today I am grateful for organization. I don’t do it that often so I’m really, really glad when I do. . .and it’s done! I spent the day yesterday pouring over old poetry and short stories and children’s stories and plays and anecdotal pieces and pieces to put on a “Word Wall” and pieces it would be fun to read and I had no idea I had so much bloody writing and I’m not even taking it all along and it’s time to end this horrible run-on sentence! Whew! Are you exhausted? That’s how I felt in the process.
I worked all day putting together one concise book of my writing. I’ve been to these things before and I know that feeling of, “Oh damn! I wish I had brought that piece along!” I don’t like it. I like to be prepared. If it takes this much to get me moderately organized what must it take for the conference planners? I shudder to think. And I’m bringing my laptop, aka LIFE, along with me and my small printer, too.

So I’m ready to move my entire world to the Wyndam Hotel in Philadelphia. The dots from the three-hole-punch are vacuumed up. The scripts and children’s stories that don’t fit in the binder are loaded and ready to rock ‘n roll. There is absolutely nothing like organization.
