Pa. Physician General Visits Merck In North Wales To Advocate Vaccinations

Pennsylvania has the second lowest rate of childhood vaccination in the country.

The Pennsylvania physician general visited Merck’s vaccine plant in North Wales on Wednesday in support of childhood vaccinations, according to a report in The Intelligencer.

Dr. Rachel Levine said that vaccine use is increasing but more needs to be done to make sure children receive required vaccines before they begin school, the report states.

Levine and Merck Vaccines President Jacques Cholat observed two separate vaccine productions at the plant, according to the report.
