Plane Lands Safely After Striking Deer In Blue Bell, Reports Say
A small plane was taking off in Blue Bell when it reportedly struck a deer, damaging its landing gear.

A small plane landed safely at an airport in Lancaster County on Tuesday morning after striking a deer during takeoff in Blue Bell.
According to Lancaster Online, the plane struck the deer early Tuesday during takeoff at Blue Bell's Wings Field.
Upon impact, a portion of the landing gear fell off.

The pilot decided to land the plane on its underside at Lancaster Airport, which he did so safely at 8:35 a.m., the report states.
The plane, a Beechcraft BE58, suffered only minimal damage to its underside. The four occupants were unharmed. The deer was killed.
