Portions Of Green Ribbon Trail Closed For Safety Reasons

Multiple sections of the popular trail have been closed due to safety concerns involving trees. Work will continue through the work.

NORTH WALES, PA — Multiple sections of the popular Green Ribbon Trail have been closed due to safety concerns involving trees, the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association said on Friday.

As residents of the area have doubtlessly noticed, powerful winds have brought down or weakened large trees throughout the region the last several months. This has led to unsafe conditions along parts of the trail.

Tree removal work will begin in the coming weeks, and will continue through the winter.
