Primary Election Results: North Penn School Directors

Newcomers led the way in the race for North Penn School Director, as incumbents were not among top vote getters in either party's primary.

LANSDALE, PA — Tuesday's primary election featured a few contested races in the Lansdale area, including the battle for North Penn School Director.

The race was dominated by newcomers on both the Democratic and Republican front, as they took the top two spots in the Democratic field and the top five in the Republican field.

The top five candidates advance in each party advance on to the general election. The top overall vote-getter was Democrat Cathy Wesley.

  • Juliane Ramic - 4,241 (incumbent)

  • Jenna Ott - 1,753 (incumbent)

Incumbents Jonathan M. Kassa, Edward Diasio, and Theresa Prykowski did not run.

In the primary to fill a two-year vacancy, Democrat Al Roesch ran unopposed, while Republican Edward Ned Smith defeated Roesch, who cross-filed, in the Republican race.

The school board includes nine school directors. There are three incumbents with terms that run through 2021: President Martina Stoll, Vice President Christian Fusco, and Jonathan M. Kassa. The other six slots will be determined in November.
