"Our athletic director is going to be handling it, and it's embarrassing for us as an LC community that it happened," first year head coach Katrina Koffel was quoted as saying after the game, in The Intelligencer. "I'm very embarrassed, especially as a teacher at the school, and I really don't like the way it went down."

Koffel said that she knew the girl at whom the slur had been aimed and that she was a very kind person.
