Reminder: DUI Patrol To Conduct Checkpoint In Lansdale This Weekend

A DUI patrol will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Lansdale this weekend.

The North Penn Area DUI Enforcement Team will conduct a sobriety checkpoint throughout this week and weekend, according to police.

The DUI patrol will work to identify and remove impaired drivers from the roads, police said.

State Route 63 was specifically named as a “targeted” area, along with “other state, county, and local roadways,” police said.

The checkpoint will be in a location that has been identified as a place where alcohol has been a “significant factor,” according to police.

The patrol will run from Monday through Sunday.

Other things that the patrol will enforce will include child restraint systems, vehicle equipment, unlicensed or suspended operator licenses, vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and other traffic violations.
