Roads Closed In Lansdale Area, Towamencin Declares Emergency
Ida's impacts are already making themselves felt in the greater Lansdale area.

LANSDALE, PA — Moyers Road is closed in Lansdale as the first flood impacts of Hurricane Ida's remnants make themselves felt across the region. A tornado warning was also issued for much of Montgomery and Bucks counties as the storm advanced.
There is no timetable for when the road will reopen. Flooding is likely to close more roads as the evening wears on.
Nearby, Towamencin Township has issued an emergency declaration effective 4 p.m. Thursday, with Township Manager Donald Demeter noting that the storm "threatens to cause injury, damage and suffering...due to anticipated high winds and flooding." The declaration gives the township access to greater funds and resources.
