Roads In Hatfield, Franconia Will Be Resurfaced
PennDOT has allotted millions to resurfacing projects in Montgomery County, including two in Hatfield and Franconia areas.
LANSDALE, PA — A newly announced spate of infrastructure funding in Montgomery County includes two projects in the greater Lansdale area.
Three different roads will be resurfaced as part of the larger contract announced by PennDOT Tuesday, which allotted Montgomery County $12.9 million in funding.
Locally, Broad Street, Penn Avenue, and Souderton Pike will be resurfaced in Hatfield and Franconia, while Cowpath Road will be resurfaced in Salford and Franconia. The latter project will cover the stretch of Cowpath between Route 113 and County Line Road.

“After having numerous conversations with residents and state officials, I’m thrilled to see the state step in with 100 percent funding for these projects to improve roadways in our district,” State Rep. Steve Malagari said in a statement. “PennDOT has so many obligations throughout the state, but my office continues to relay information from residents to state officials to help highlight concerns about state roads in our region.”
Construction on these projects will begin this summer, though details have not yet been ironed out. Work will be completed by summer 2022, Malagari's office said.
