A Blizzard Watch has been announced for Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.

A Blizzard Watch has been announced for Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.
According to the National Weather Service, the Winter Storm Watch is now cancelled and a Blizzard Watch begins Friday evening. The Blizzard Watch goes through Sunday morning.
The following counties are included: Bucks, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia.

The National Weather Service is warning of strong winds and blowing snow, with as much as 18 inches of accumulation possible.

“The combination of heavy snowfall and strong winds could produce whiteout conditions and extremely dangerous travel conditions,” the Blizzard Watch says.

The storm will roll in Friday night after the commute and continue, heavy at times, through Sunday morning.
Wind gusts of up to 40 mph are possible.
Visibility will be at less than a quarter of a mile at times, according to the NWS.
