TOWAMENCIN, PA — The playground for young children at Fischer's Park in Towamencin has been shut down after authorities were made aware of a safety concern, officials announced this week.

The safety concern centered around the playground's green tunnel and related equipment. Specifics regarding the safety issue were not made immediately available by authoriites.

The playground will remain closed until new parts are ordered and installed.
