Senses Satisfied at 21st Int'l Spring Fest

The scents! The sounds! The sights! Savory!

All senses were satisifed Saturday at the 21st International Spring Fest, a collaboration by Lansdale Library and .

Name a country - chances are it was there.

And each one had on display what makes it the best - everything from textiles and Russian nesting dolls to Gabon snakeskins and Egyptian statues.

There were Chinese folk dancers, Bangladeshi dancers and Elite Strings youth orchestra in the audion. 

Throughout the day in the main gym was a martial arts and sword fighting demo, a Chinese fan dance, an umbrella-ella-ella dance, and Ballet Folklorico de Acapulco. The Universal African Dance and Drum Ensemble performed at around 12:45 p.m. They were followed by Korean Heritage Research Association USA Inc.'s performance. Voloshky Ukrainian Dance Emsemble wowed at 2:30 p.m.

Wrapping up the day was GTV Almrausch, a noted German dance troupe German folk dancers and strangers to the International Spring Festival. It was their first time to the event.

The cafeteria was the place to eat some new (or favorite) food, model some native costumes and get yor face painted.

It had music too: Renee Wilson, Mutya Philippino Dance Troupe, the Red Hill Band, Dallas Vietty, belly dancers and magician Tom MdConnell.

It all began with a Parade of Nations at 10:55 a.m.
