SEPTA To Offer Car Washing Service On Lansdale/Doylestown Line

LANSDALE, PA — SEPTA is rolling out a new car washing service at several stations along the Lansdale/Doylestown line.

Service will begin at select stations along the line on Monday, Sept. 23. Participating stations include Ambler, Colmar, Doylestown, Fort Washington, Jenkintown, North Wales, and Pennbrook.

SEPTA has teamed up with a local start-up, WashLB, to provide the wash. Both interior and exterior services will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"We know our customers have very hectic schedules, and we're excited to offer this new service, "SEPTA assistant general manager Kim Scott Heinle said in a statement. "Not just for its convenience, but also as an added value to our riders."

Riders can park anywhere in the lot, and do not need to leave their keys. Services can be scheduled through the company's mobile app, or online at WashLB.com

Prices start at $10 for an exterior wash. WashLB says that they use environmentally friendly products, and use less than a gallon of water per wash.

Representatives from WashLB will be on hand at the Pennbrook Station in Lansdale from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17 to explain how the service works.
