Shop Rite Issues Ground Beef Recall

The Hatfield supermarket said its ground beef may contain pieces of black liner from packaging trays

ShopRite in Hatfield has issued a recall on its store brand ground beef items produced and sold on June 22, 2012, according to 6abc.com.

According to the article, there is concern that the products may contain small pieces of black liner from the tray used to package the products.

ShopRite spokesperson Karen Meleta told 6abc the following:

We are advising customers who purchased any of these products at the ShopRite of Hatfield to return them for an immediate refund or replacement. 

No other meat products sold at ShopRite are affected, according to the article.
