'Snoopy's Incredible Journey': Lansdale Hound Returned Home At Long Last

Snoopy Biermann had been missing for 13 days when he was finally found. Along the way, he got his own Facebook page.

LANSDALE, PA -- At long last, Snoopy is home.

The curly white medium dog originally went missing from his Lansdale home on January 8.

His family had nothing to go on, and no hints to offer to the public, other than simple description: curly. White. Medium. A blue collar.

But that was it.

It had 355 likes as of Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, Snoopy was running.

He ran from Hatfield, to Sellersville, to Silverdale, to Hilltown, and then eventually to Souderton.

His family estimates that he ran between 2 and 4 miles a day.

Taken from witnesses and reports of Snoopy, his family offered the following summation of Snoopy’s brave journey through the freezing weeks of early winter:

Crossing the busiest roads and sleeping in some of the coldest weather this year, Snoopy’s journey ended tonight when he went to a wonderful mans back door and went in.

Thank you to that kind person for seeing a dog in need and helping him. Thank you to all the wonderful people who called with sightings, thank you to the amazing people who allowed us to walk their property, set feeding stations, traps and cameras, thank you to Sarah and John for trusting us to help bring snoopy home. Thank you God for keeping this little baby safe! And mostly thank you Snoopy for giving up and going into a house that was willing to help you!

WELCOME HOME SNOOPY!!!

Well-wishers contributed their voices by the dozens to congratulate Snoopy on his homecoming, just in time for the big storm predicted this weekend.

“What an amazing story. I’m so happy Snoopy is back home. He was on quite a vacation. He’s so handsome,” said Lin Almond.

“Snoopy, I am so glad to hear that you’ve made it back home,” added Leah Freed-Livezey. “As I am shedding happy tears at work, I am just so happy you are back home safe and sound. No more escaping acts especially during the winter time.”

Family members noted that Snoopy was very stinky and very skinny, but otherwise appeared to be in good health.
