Souderton's Craft-Bilt Manufacturing Wins $6K Grant
A local business has won a significant grant to help make energy efficient improvements.
SOUDERTON, PA — A local business has won a significant grant to help make energy efficient improvements.
Craft-Bilt Manufacutring Co., based in Souderton, will receive $6,913 for energy-efficient lighting improvements, State Rep. Steve Malagari's office announced.
“Supporting small businesses that want to make energy-efficient upgrades is good for everyone – the projects can help businesses save money and reduce their impact on our environment,” Malagari said in a statement. "I applaud Craft-Bilt for pursuing this grant, and I am glad to see the state award these funds."

The funding comes from the state Department of Environmental Protection’s Small Business Advantage Grant program, which provides matching grants for eco-friendly projects.
A total of nearly $1 million has been awarded to 201 small business statewide, according to state statistics.
