Special 'Colors Of Pride' Event At North Penn: Dance, Fashion, Poetry
The special Black history month event will highlight dance, clothing, and culture inspired by Africa.

LANSDALE, PA — North Penn High School is holding a special event to commemorate Black history month and educate on the importance of cultural history.
The "Colors of Pride" event will start with an assembly during school on Feb. 15, and will be followed by a special show featuring dance, spoken word, and fashion at the auditorium in the evening.
"The evening’s theme is 'The Black Diaspora,' a term used to describe the involuntary and voluntary movement of African people and culture around the world," event organizers said. "The diaspora highlights the global nature and impact of black culture, which united African Americans, Afro-Caribbeans, and Africans in common heritage. The show’s theme will highlight these ideas through dance and clothing inspired by Africa."
