Today I am grateful for spontaneous fun. We were supposed to take the train to Philly on Thursday to discuss last-minute wedding details for the big event next weekend. Then it snowed. A lot! We couldn’t go on Thursday so we went down yesterday.
What a blast! My future daughter-in-law and son are so looking forward to the big party. We are all anxious to have family get to town and have everyone together. We drank too much, didn’t eat enough and met fun, great people who helped lead us all down the abyss where common sense doesn’t exist. We missed the first agreed on train back to Lansdale. . .and the second. . .and the third. . .and the fourth. . .

I came away from the night with a notebook full of details, a couple of extra “wine” pounds, an exhausted body (I am not 40 anymore), and the happy glow that comes from knowing you are doing exactly what you should be doing, exactly when you are doing it. That’s spontaneous fun and I am grateful for it!
