Stormwater Management Work Planned On Towamencin, Hatfield Area Roads

Severe weather events and flooding in recent months and years has spurred a new round of road work in Montgomery County.

TOWAMENCIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Several roads around the greater Philadelphia area will be under construction next week as part of an effort to improve stormwater management in the region.

Work will specifically target roads that have flooded in the numerous severe weather events of recent months and years.

In the Hatfield area, Forty Foot Road will see one lane closed between Clemens Road and Koffel Road as the roadway is repaved.

In the Towamencin area, Allentown Road between Reinert Road and Forty Foot Road will be closed for road striping.

All road work will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day from Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 22.

Delays are expected and motorists are asked to plan ahead and consider alternate routes.
