One of the region's more unique events gives people a chance to learn how Mennonites lived a century ago.

The Apple Butter Frolic in Harleysville will take place on October 1 from 9:#0 a.m. to 4 p.m. near the Indian Valley Middle School, located on 130 Maple Avenue. Shuttles will run from the school to the location of the Frolic.

According to the Mennonite Heritage Center, "This popular autumn festival has been enjoyed by the local community for over 40 years. The Frolic is an opportunity to learn how Mennonites and their neighbors lived 100 or more years ago, and it’s great fun for young and old alike. It also raises important funds to support the mission of the Mennonite Heritage Center."
