These Are Lansdale's Best Auto Repair Shops, Analysis Says

LANSDALE, PA — Finding a good mechanic can save you money and time.

A new analysis by the nonprofit Delaware Valley Consumers' Checkbook looks at more than 380 auto repair shops in the region, including several in the Lansdale area, to determine which offer the best service based on price and quality.

The following Lansdale area shops were included in the analysis: Bob Adams Auto Service, Gebbie's Auto Care, Hauck's Garage, North Penn Gulf (S. Valley Forge Road), North Penn Gulf (Allentown Road), Preston's Auto, Upper Gwynedd Service Center, Peruzzi Toyta Scion, Bergey's Chevrolet, Interstate Fleets, North Penn Imports, 5 Points Automotive Center, JL Freed Honda, Lansdale Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Montgomeryville Acura, Ciocca Ford, and Michalak's Service Station.

Checkbook's evaluations of hundreds of shops in the Delaware Valley area include its ratings for quality and price. Its ratings are based on more than 8,500 reviews by local consumers, consumer agency complaint records, more than 1,500 price checks by its undercover shoppers, and other sources.

According to the researchers at Checkbook, North Penn Gulf on S. Valley Forge Road had the best prices, checking it at nine percent lower than the average cost. Gebbie's Auto, Upper Gwynedd Service Center, and Interstate Fleets all shared a 100 percent rating for the best overall quality.
