Towamencin Bakery Shuts Its Doors After Decades In Operation: Report
A sad day for local business.
The North Penn area’s long-running Distelfink Bakery closed on Thursday, October 29, according to The Reporter.
Distelfink, located in the Allen Forge Shopping Center on Valley Forge Road, has locked its front doors, and a writ of possession notice has been taped there, the report states.
Co-owner Kate Berger said they were over three months behind on rent, according to the report.

Berger added that business had been steeply declining since the financial crash of 2008, the report states.
