Towamencin DAR Presents Guinness World Book of Records Certificate to Salford Hills Elementary School

Towamencin DAR Regent Holly Hayick, Treasurer Diane Hustead, Recording Secretary Sara Natali and member Pam Martino presented the students and faculty of Salford Hills Elementary School with a Guinness World Record Certificate to thank them for helping the DAR set a Guinness World Record of writing more letters to American soldiers in one month than anyone else had done before.
The DAR’s goal was to write 10,000 letters. On June 18, 2016 we achieved the goal with an official count of 100,904 letters being sent to our soldiers in one month – which was 10 times our goal! Salford Hills Elementary School wrote 277 of the total count of letters.
In addition to the certificate, Ms Martino donated two Guinness World Record Books to their library to help commemorate the fantastic contributions Salford Hills Elementary School made.
