Towamencin Residents Charged For Packages They Didn't Order: Cops

Police are investigating "suspicious circumstances" surrounding residents being charged for packages they didn't order, then receiving them.

TOWAMENCIN, PA — Police are investigating "suspicious circumstances" surrounding residents being charged for packages they didn't order, then receiving them.

The first incident occurred near Lamplifghter Way and Grist Mill Drive on Oct. 6.

Another incident occurred near Allentown Road and Keeler Road on Oct. 15.

It's not yet clear how the victims' personal information is being gathered.

The second victim said they saw an older model white van enter their cul-de-sac and stop in front of the home at around 7 a.m. The same van was traveling slowly through the cul-de-sac an hour later.

It reappeared in the neighborhood early in the morning on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

While police said they two incidents have not been "definitively linked," they're nonetheless encouraging residents to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity.
