Two Peas in a Pod

Today I am grateful for two peas in a pod. We spent a fantastic day in Philly yesterday with our son Matt and his daughter, Anja. The weather was absolutely perfect. . .warm in the sun, but not hot. . .cool in the shade, but not cold. I’d like to order a bunch more of these, please!

We did not rush or force any part of the day. Shooting from the hip, we met at Magpie and indulged early. They have always been close because it’s very easy for kids to get close with a man who is still around ten in his heart. When anything that goes whir, or boom, or is a magic trick with pa-zaz still thrills him, what’s not to love?

The discussion between Anja and grandpa, quickly led to “Game of Thrones” and I realized that these characters, although not related genetically, are two peas in a pod.
