Breaking: Bridle Path has won!

LANSDALE, PA -- For the second year in a row, the North Penn School District has one of the coveted More 101.1 FM Christmas Choir Competitions.

Bridle Path Elementary School won the K-8 division on Friday morning, earning a $5,000 prize and the chance to play with the Philly Pops in concert on Dec. 6.

"It was probably one of the most exciting moments of my life, I'll remember it forever," Michael Klenk, the principal of Bridle Path, said shortly after the announcement in a video shared by the North Penn School District. "To watch the reaction was really the best part of all of it."

It comes just a year after the North Penn Chamber Singers won the high school division of the contest in 2016.

Bridle Path beat out Neshaminy's Poquessing Middle School which placed second and Phoenixville Area Middle School which placed third. After advancing from the semifinals, each of the three songs played early on a given morning this week. Listeners then had until that evening to vote online for their favorite.
