WATCH: First Female Kicker In North Penn History Makes Incredible Hit Versus C.B. East
Central Bucks East was on their way to returning a kick for a touchdown when Kelly Macnamara stepped up.

LANSDALE, PA -- North Penn kicker Kelly Macnamara is doing more than just breaking down barriers.
As a girl in what has traditionally been an all-boys sport, she doubtlessly faces additional pressure and challenges that most could never realize. She's the first female kicker in North Penn football history, according to The Knight Crier.
But if it any of it is bothering her, the sophomore certainly hasn't shown it on the field.

As North Penn's kicker, she's also the last line of defense in the case of a strong kick return from the opposing team.
And on Saturday, when the Knights took on Central Bucks East, just such a situation arose when the East returner tore off past most of the Knights defense along the left side of the field.

The touchdown-saving hit, of course, was made by Macnamara.
The video has received national sports media coverage in outlets like Deadspin and SB Nation.
North Penn, meanwhile, improved to an undefeated 7-0 on the year. They will host Souderton next on October 14 at 7 p.m.
