Water Main Construction Will Lead To Road Closures In Lansdale

LANSDALE, PA — Road closures are coming up next week in Lansdale as construction begins on a new water main.

The North Penn Water Authority will shut down North Line Street from Oak Drive to East Main Street beginning on Monday, March 19, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Construction is expected to take about five to six weeks, officials said.

Detours will run from Cowpath Road to North Broad to East Seventh, and from East Seventh to North Broad to East Main, according to the borough.

Once installation of the water main is complete, soil, concrete, and trench restoration will follow, filling in the construction area.

The roadway will be open and traversable at the end of each work day.

Residents will have access to their homes, but could experience "minor delays" in some cases, officials said.

The Water Authority added that they have videotaped the property edges near where they are working to ensure that they repair any potential damage they cause while working.
